Academic Background

Dr. Arturo Ludan graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 1963 and took up his residency training at the Montefiore Hospital in New York City, U.S.A.

Founding of Pediapharma

A renowned Pediatrician who founded Pediapharma Inc. in 1991 in his mission to develop innovative pediatric pharmaceutical products that are a result of clinical efficacy and safety.

The Ludan Method

Known for his “LUDAN METHOD”, an effective parenteral fluid and electrolyte therapy for diarrheal dehydration, which became a benchmark in fluid and electrolyte therapy and is still being taught in medical schools today.

The Oral Rehydration Therapy

He also introduced the concept and practice of Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) in the Philippines in 1976, which is 3 years ahead of the launching of the WHO/UNICEF/DOH ORT Program in 1976.
